Programme Overview

The B.A. programme of the college is recognized by Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi and follows the syllabus prescribed by the university under CBCS and NEP. Students choose combinations from History, Economics, Education, Political Science, Music, Hindi, Kannada and English Literature.

The programme meets the standards of general humanities education and enables students to develop social, political, historical, economic and literary understanding.

Cognitive Skills

Students develop the ability to appreciate civilizations, cultures and contemporary social issues. They cultivate sociological sensibility and critical thinking during the CBCS (3 years) and NEP (4 years) programmes.

Students also acquire advanced reading, writing, speaking, interpretive and composition skills in four languages.

Employability

Graduates are eligible for employment in tourism, media, hospitality, NGOs and other service sectors. Humanities education also equips students to appear for competitive examinations and public sector employment.

Values

Humanities education emphasizes human values, cultural diversity, ethical thinking and informed opinions on contemporary issues.
