About the Department

The Department of Political Science was established in the year 1956. Prof. B. B. Patil Oklay is the founder of the department and later became a member of Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). Prof. S. C. Hiremath is also known as the co-founder of the department.

Other eminent faculties like Prof. M. B. Nigudagi, Prof. Ramareddy, Dr. S. A. Palekar, Prof. Saraswati V. Patil and Dr. N. S. Hugar were the icons of our department. Our faculties have served in different fields such as Syndicate Members of Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi.
