1. Pt. Siddaram Jambledinni – A great musician who inspired and guided the activities of the department. He was the recipient of the Rajyotsava Award and Sangeeta Nataka Academy Award for Hindustani Classical Vocal Music.
2. Pt. K. S. Hadpad – Co-founder of the Department of Music.
3. Dr. Hanumanna Nayak Dorai – Served as Professor of Music at Hampi University and later as Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University. He was honored with several prestigious awards.
